Meet the founder
Luz Ester Román is a certified Health Coach in nutrition and intermittent fasting. In 2022, she was diagnosed with breast cancer; an invasive ductal carcinoma in the right breast, and from there her life changed.
She underwent partial surgery (also known as a lumpectomy) and radiation treatment. In the middle of what she was experiencing with cancer, she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder type 2; a manic-depressive condition for which there is no cure. The process of her trip was very hard for her because she had to go through it alone. Although she always had the unconditional support of her husband Adrian; Her mother, her friends, and her family could not be with her at that time for various reasons. One day when her body was already very deteriorated and she felt like she couldn't take it anymore, she questioned God for having left her alone on the most difficult path of her life, and it was there that she discovered her purpose.
She began to share everything that was happening to her on her Instagram social network. To her surprise, many women identified with her story. Receiving countless direct messages daily from women telling their own versions. She became an advocate on the issue of breast cancer. She recognized that her cancer was not just hers, but also all those women out there who, fearing being judged, do not dare to express themselves.
With cancer came the need to do introspection work, internal healing. And under the motto "The two faces of cancer" he began to share all the positive moments and events that she was encountering along the way of the process, inviting and motivating the community to ask themselves: What should I learn from this? and what should I do with this?
Cancer helped her discover many things in her life and she wants to help you discover yours. The EbeneSer Foundation was born from her own cry for help and that of her community.
"Although at first I didn't see it or imagine it. Today I can tell you that cancer has been a blessing in my life.
Thanks to cancer, today we can help you from here.
It helped me find my true life purpose and my greatest desire is to help you find yours.
Cancer has two faces, you decide which side you want to see it from.

EbeneSer Resource Assistance Program (PARE)
The EbeneSer Resource Assistance Program (PARE) seeks to provide much-needed peace of mind at a time when breast cancer strikes. The uncertainty of not knowing how to continue with financial commitments becomes counterproductive for the health of the affected person.
PARE is based on helping them gain access to necessary resources, services and support. The program serves as a link and referral system to the appropriate resources and information based on your need.
PARE includes (but is not limited to) the following resources:
The PARE program depends on other organizations as well as public and private funds, therefore it requires an approval process and the availability of funds. Approvals are processed in the order in which they are received.
You can request assistance for resources by writing to info@fundacionebeneser.org
*Important note: none of the EbeneSer Foundation programs deliver cash in any way to the applicant.
Knowledge is power. Learn the language of breast cancer, its terminology and definitions.
